Terms & Conditions;When we are sellingWhat we do…- We give free and honest advice on issues within the field of environmental testing in order to help potential customers make informed decisions on products and services they may require. Such advice is always given in good faith and with good intentions.
- We provide written quotations by e-mail, fax or post.
- We accept written orders by e-mail, fax or post and acknowledge them as soon as possible.
- We give delivery dates and stick to them. If a confirmed delivery is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control we will let you know as soon as possible, apologise, give you a revised delivery date and try hard to improve on it.
- For sales of £10,000 or more (excluding VAT) we invoice 30% on receipt of order 60% on delivery and 10% after 30 days.
- For sales of less than £10,000 (excluding VAT) we invoice 100% and require payment prior to delivery of goods except for…
- …Account customers who have provided us with satisfactory Bank and Trade references and agreed to pay us within 30 days of receipt of invoice.
- We do our best to resolve in a timely and courteous manner any genuine complaints or dissatisfaction with anything we say, do or supply.
- We retain title to any goods supplied until they have been paid for in full.
What we don't do…- Give verbal quotations or verbal offers without written confirmation by e-mail, fax or post.
- Act on or make purchases against verbal orders or instructions until we have received written confirmation by e-mail, fax or post.
- Accept order cancellations without compensation for any losses arising from work already carried out and materials purchased.
- Supply any product, material or service that wasn’t specifically included as part of a contract.
- Give unrealistic delivery schedules.
- Knowingly provide false or misleading information.
- Accept any terms or conditions other than these unless there are exceptional circumstances and a director of the company has agreed to them in writing.
Generally our aim is to provide honest endeavour in return for reasonable reward in the services we provide, value for money in the products we supply and a feeling that our customers are happy to entrust their business with us and recommend us to others with confidence.
When we are buyingWhat we do…- We request a written quotation by e-mail, fax or post for the supply of any goods or services. The quotation should include cost of packing and delivery if appropriate.
- We provide a written order with an order number, signed by a director of the company. The order will specify the goods or services required and the date we expect them to be delivered. It will include cost of packing and delivery only if those items were included in the quote. The order will be faxed, posted or attached to an e-mail.
- We expect an order acknowledgement from the supplier, confirming price and delivery date.
- We expect a VAT invoice from the supplier when, or as soon as possible after, the goods have been received.
- We pay invoices within 30 days of receipt.
- We will only withhold payment in the event of shortages, incorrect or damaged goods or unsatisfactory provision of service. If this is the case we will let you know immediately and assist wherever possible in order to rectify the situation.
- We acknowledge that supplies remain the property of the supplier until we have paid for them at which point title transfers to ourselves.
What we don't do…- Give verbal orders for goods or services without written confirmation.
- Require a statement after 30 days, as you will have already been paid.
- Pay for anything unsolicited or not specified on an official company order.
- Accept any terms or conditions other than these unless there are exceptional circumstances and a director of the company has agreed to them in writing.
Generally we have the desire to establish good long-term relationships with our suppliers. We expect value for money and are happy to pay for good service in a timely manner. We treat our suppliers in the way we would like our customers to treat us.
We will strive to resolve any dispute quickly and fairly. We would be extremely reluctant to resort to the law, however should reason fail then we will be subject only to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
